We are looking for an exceptional Head of Physics to lead our MRI Physics team and drive the development of innovative quantitative MRI methodologies, imaging biomarkers, and software technologies that are transforming patient care.

What you'll be doing
As Head of Physics, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of MRI physicists and engineers.
- Define and deliver the Physics roadmap, aligning scientific innovation with business objectives.
- Drive the development of quantitative MRI technologies, methodologies, and products.
- Own the delivery of Physics programmes and projects, ensuring quality, prioritisation, and execution.
- Act as the organisation's subject matter expert in MRI physics, partnering with Product, Engineering, Regulatory, Quality, Commercial, and Scientific teams.
- Build and maintain collaborations with academic, clinical, and industry partners.
- Support strategic decision-making through technical and scientific leadership.
- Represent the organisation at conferences, scientific collaborations, customer engagements, and industry events.
What we're looking for
You'll bring:
- MSc, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree in MR Physics or a related field
- Significant postdoctoral and/or industry experience in MRI physics or quantitative imaging
- A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing scientific or technical teams
- Experience delivering complex scientific or technical programmes within multidisciplinary environments
- Strong expertise in MRI physics, quantitative imaging, and scientific innovation
- Scientific computing and/or software development experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have
- Experience with quantitative MRI methods on clinical MRI scanners
- Commercial product development experience
- Clinical trial imaging experience
- Experience developing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
- Interest in physiology across multiple organ systems
