Capable Cleaners is a family-run, cleaning company based in North Kent. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Commercial Cleaning Supervisor / Office Cleaning Supervisor to support our growing commercial contracts.
This role is ideal for someone with commercial cleaning experience who can manage and supervise a team, deliver on-site training, complete site checks and cleaning inspections, help with new site set-ups, and step in for sickness cover when needed.
Key Responsibilities include
- Supervise and support a team of commercial/office cleaners across multiple sites
- Provide sickness/absence cover (hands-on cleaning when required)
- Support new site set-ups / contract start-ups (ensuring standards are met from day one)
- Deliver on-site training and coaching for new starters and existing staff
- Complete site checks / cleaning inspections / quality control audits against the cleaning specification
- Maintain excellent customer rapport and professional on-site communication
- Set up and maintain cleaning cupboards on site
- Monitor and report stock levels and product usage
- Identify issues early and report back to the team
Essential Requirements for the right candidate
- Previous commercial/office cleaning experience
- Experience supervising a cleaning team
- Full UK driving licence + access to your own car (required)
- Ability to travel between sites across Medway, Kings Hill, Sittingbourne and Gravesend
- High standards, attention to detail, and a proactive approach
- Reliable, professional, and confident working independently
- To be able to work some early mornings from 7 am and evenings after 6 pm to work alongside staff on site and cover if required
We offer £13.50 per hour on a PAYE basis, plus paid holiday entitlement and a workplace pension (if qualifying) As the role involves travelling between sites, you’ll also receive mileage payments. You’ll be joining a supportive, family-run team with a hands-on, professional approach and the opportunity to grow with our expanding commercial work.
