Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and reliable gardener to join us full-time. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for outdoor spaces with a desire to create and maintain beautiful gardens and courtyards.
Duties
- Carry out weeding, seasonal pruning and planting, hedge cutting, lawn mowing and border edging.
- Water and manage irrigation, including installation and repair, tailored to the needs of different plants.
- Monitor plant health, identify pests or diseases, assist in their control, and update the garden’s profile accordingly.
- Operate power and hand tools such as battery mowers and hedge trimmers, safely and effectively.
- Occasionally assist the lead landscaper with basic labouring: moving garden waste, mixing cement, demolition, fence building, turf laying and planting.
- Ensure all tools, materials and plants are on site when needed, and keep the van clean, tidy and fully stocked.
- Communicate clearly with the team, complete assigned tasks promptly, report any problems immediately and follow all health and safety procedures.
- Cover other maintenance runs when required, arriving punctually, tidy and presentable.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years’ gardening experience - soft-landscaping experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and best practice, with hands-on experience growing and caring for a variety of plants, shrubs and flowers.
- Confident, safe use of power and hand tools relevant to gardening.
- Strong attention to detail, good physical fitness for manual work and a professional, reliable attitude.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Skills
This role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and is eager to contribute to the upkeep of beautiful outdoor environments. Previous experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable. Applicants should be physically fit and capable of performing manual labour throughout the day.
