Admin / Customer Service Assistant – Role Overview
Assisting the sales team with customer enquiries such as order tracking and returns processing. Contacting suppliers to check on Purchase Orders or stock enquiries as well as other general administrative duties.
This is a part-time role at 25 hours per week.
The role is office based on the White Lund Industrial Estate in Morecambe.
Hours can be worked flexibly between 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday with prior agreement.
Business Overview
UK Bathroom Store is an established e-commerce retailer of bathrooms which is now over 19 years old. In this highly competitive retail vertical, we have the backup of our sister company which has a full retail showroom, both displaying and stocking some of the key brands in the industry. Growing year on year we are now looking to take the business to the next level, and with the recent addition of our own brand we need an ambitious and confident individual to help us achieve our goals.
Job Role
The administrative assistant will work across several of our teams in order to reduce their admin burden and allow them more time to focus on their respective goals.
· Check inbound communications for queries such as stock enquiries, delivery lead times or order tracking detail requests, obtaining that information and replying back to the customer.
· Contact our suppliers by both phone, e-mail and or live chat in order to obtain that information in a timely manner.
· Assist the accounts function with invoice matching and invoice queries.
· Help process customer returns and the related paperwork.
· Ordering office supplies and maintaining the office environment.
· Proactively find ways to assist the various functions to alleviate time burdens and allow them to be more efficient.
The Candidate
· Must be extremely well organised.
· Be able to confidently communicate with other team members, customers and suppliers.
· Take great pride in the accuracy of their work.
· Have good IT skills with the use of e-mail, web and a reasonable typing speed.
· Have strong English skills and be confident in the written word.
· Maths and English GCSE A-C or equivalent desired. (experience rather than qualifications maybe accepted)
