The Cock & Hoop Pub is a traditional Ale House serving cask & craft beer & a menu that includes breakfast, lunch & Afternoon Tea. We are currently looking for energetic, professional & friendly team members to join us.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Meet & Greeting Guests in a professional & friendly manner
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Taking orders and serving food
- Basic food preparation outside of kitchen hours
- Ensuring both the front & back of house areas are clean & tidy
- Changing barrels
- Taking an interest in the range of food & drinks we have on offer so you can make recommendations
- Ensuring all opening & close down procedures are followed
Some experience of bar work and/or serving & preparing cask ale would be an advantage but not essential. As a pub which focuses on cask and craft ale a basic knowledge of different beer styles would be great. We are looking for great personalities who are willing to learn and get passionate about serving great food & fantastic beer.
Please note that only applicants ages 18 or above can be considered for the position as bar service is essential.
The pub forms part of the Lace Market Hotel and as such you will be working alongside not just the pub team but the hotel as well; so we are looking for real team players. Hotel breakfast is served in the pub, so we offer shifts that start from 6am right through to close. The pub team also service our small meetings & events space - so there is always something different going on
