As our Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that Zip UK’s sites run smoothly, safely and compliantly. You will be the go-to person for all things related to our facilities. Based at our Dereham office and reporting to the Operations team, you will manage the day-to-day operations across our office, warehouse and legacy sites. This includes working closely with suppliers and contractors, overseeing health & safety compliance, handling maintenance tasks, and managing budgets. The facilities manager will ensure high standards are maintained across all sites, drive strong supplier performance and promote proactive maintenance. This hands-on position perfectly balances operational work with coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day‑to‑day delivery of facilities operations across office, warehouse, and legacy sites

Act as the primary point of contact for all facilities issues, ensuring sites are safe, compliant, and well presented

Manage access control, security systems, alarms, and internal space requirements

Manage third‑party suppliers and contractors, setting SLAs and monitoring performance

Ensure all facilities compliance and statutory obligations are met, including health & safety and environmental standards

Maintain accurate compliance records and support audits and inspections

Own planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and manage reactive maintenance to minimise disruption

Oversee key building infrastructure and maintenance contracts

Manage facilities budgets, track spend, and identify cost‑saving opportunities

Support facilities projects, lease exits, dilapidations, and continuous improvement initiatives

Act as the central coordination point for facilities activity, working closely with internal teams and leadership
Requirements
Essential

Previous experience in a facilities, site, or operations role

Strong organisational and multitasking capability

Ability to manage multiple suppliers and priorities simultaneously

Practical, hands-on approach with a proactive mindset

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable

IOSH qualification (or willingness to obtain)
