Approx. hours: 10 hours per week, across Saturdays and Thursdays

About the Role
We're looking for a friendly, patient, and flexible support worker to support a 16 year old boy, who has an acquired brain injury, with daily living and to help him get out and enjoy life. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys building a genuine relationship and doesn't mind a bit of flexibility around timings week to week.
Hours
Saturdays: roughly 10am–4pm, though this may sometimes shift later (e.g. if parents we're
planning an evening out)
Thursdays (from September): early evening, around 4:30–8:30pm — timing depends on
Client’s college pickup/taxi arrival, so may vary slightly week to week (usually landing
between about 4:35pm and 4:50pm)
We're happy to talk through the details and find someone who can be flexible, especially while client’s college timetable is confirmed.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting with daily living tasks such as, meal preparation, and household activities
Supporting Isaac with hobbies, social activities, and getting out and about
Assisting with mobility and physical support where needed
Supporting communication, memory, and cognitive tasks in a patient, understanding way
Helping maintain routine and structure
Providing companionship and friendly support
Working alongside the family as part of a small, consistent support team
What We're Looking For
Previous experience supporting someone with a brain injury, disability, or complex needs
(desirable but not essential — full training provided)
Patient, calm, and flexible approach — comfortable with timings that may shift slightly
Good communication and reliability
Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
Driving licence and access to a car
