Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence where possible
- Implementing individualised care plans tailored to each client’s needs
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administering medication as prescribed and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding if required
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essential
- Good organisational skills in managing care plans and daily routines
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts that include mornings, afternoons, and evenings as required and some weekends. The candidate may also need to cover some night shifts.
