Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklift trucks to move, load, and unload materials efficiently and safely. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our logistics operations. Candidates must be organised, safety-conscious, and capable of handling heavy loads while maintaining accuracy in inventory management.
Duties
- Operate forklift trucks to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Utilise management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods
- Conduct routine inspections on forklift equipment to ensure operational safety
- Handle materials carefully, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and storage
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow efficiency and maintain a clean work environment
- Perform basic mechanical checks on equipment and report any faults or maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid forklift licence recognised by relevant authorities
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment involving forklift operation is preferred
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail for inventory accuracy
- Basic maths skills for measuring, counting, and recording data accurately
- Experience with materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and equipment maintenance is desirable
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations
