Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including vans and Class 2 trucks to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups.
- Load and unload cargo with attention to safety and proper handling.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery times and resolve issues promptly.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety standards are met before each journey.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicles to ensure optimal operation.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times during driving duties.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles, with a strong focus on safety.
- Valid driver’s license with appropriate class endorsement (up to Class 2).
- Experience operating multiple vehicle types including vans and heavier trucks.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations and safe driving practices essential for this role.
