Main duties:

RESPONSIBLE TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: MANUFACTURING PLANT
HOURS OF WORK: 4.5DAYS PER WEEK
Ø Effective and safe operation of FLT and any other vehicle.
Ø Working mainly within fabrication you will adhere to the production schedule and ensure that production bays are loaded with parts and finished assemblies are moved to the next stage of production.
Ø Loading and unloading and moving material around factory and from variety of vehicles.
Ø Moving pallet-packed material around factory site.
Ø Checking loads are secure and safe to transport.
Ø Keeping factory and yard to a high standard of housekeeping by good management of pallets and stillages.
Skills & Qualifications:
Ø Min of 3 years’ experience as FLT driver in busy manufacturing environment.
Ø Performing equipment checks and basic maintenance on FLT and other similar vehicles.
Ø Excellent communication skills
Ø Working as part of a team but also able to operate on own initiative.
Ø Working/driving in a safe manner in line with good practice and company H&S policies and procedures.
