About this opportunity
Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated person to support the operational delivery of the Material Recover Facility in Barrow-in-Furness within the waste and street scene service. The role is to assist in ensuring that the Material Recovery Facility operates in a safe and effective manner, enabling waste to be received, processed and sent out.
The role requires a flexible approach to the work a range of different people, and a high level of commitment to delivering excellent service is essential. The post holder will be required to operate a range of plant machinery.
The successful candidate will be provided with training on the systems and processes used and site safety.
The post will be based at the Material Recovery Facility on Walney Road, hours of work are to be agreed but requirements may include Monday – Sunday 8am – 5pm
