SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST – WELLBEING HUB, NRN, NOTTINGHAM, TEMP UNTIL SEPT 2028, 35HRS, A4C BAND 6, £ 39,959 - £48,117,FTE
We are open to full time, part time and job share applications.
Nottingham Recovery Network is a partnership of organisations providing a range of drug and alcohol support services in Nottingham City. We serve a diverse population, including those experiencing homelessness, learning disabilities, brain injury and neurodiversity.
We created the Speech and Language Therapist post in recognition of the importance of communication to support the engagement, assessment and treatment of people we support. The previous postholder has laid a foundation for SLT through the training of staff to develop their understanding of communication and communication disorders generally, and working to implement the Accessible Information Standard. We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist who can continue to build on this work. The post holder will work closely with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist to give advice and guidance to teams on how to tailor interventions for individuals. They will have a small caseload for individual assessment of people who need it most.
Through the local Severe and Multiple Disadvantage Partnership, there will be opportunities to extend the understanding of communication needs throughout Nottingham City agencies to those experiencing combinations of homelessness, substance use, mental health problems, offending and / or domestic and sexual violence and abuse.
As the sole Speech and Language Therapist in the service, regular external support will be provided and we have good connections with Speech and Language Therapists experienced in homelessness settings.
