Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant and Manager to oversee and coordinate our after-school programmes. This role involves supervising children, organising activities, and ensuring a safe, engaging environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, a passion for working with children, and the ability to manage a team effectively. Experience in childcare, teaching, or nannying is highly desirable, along with driving skills for transportation purposes.
Duties
- Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and organise engaging educational and recreational activities suitable for various age groups
- Manage the daily operations of the after-school club, including attendance records and activity schedules
- Lead and support a team of assistants and volunteers to deliver high-quality programmes
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Coordinate transportation arrangements, including driving children to and from the club when necessary
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the club environment
- Maintain a welcoming, organised, and stimulating environment for children and staff alike
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, nannying, or similar roles is preferred
- Proven leadership or management experience in an educational or childcare setting is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with parents, staff, and children confidently
