JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Cleaners to work at leisure centres in South and West London - we are looking for people in Fulham, Streatham, Clapham, Wimbledon, Kensington, Chiswick and Notting Hill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitise gym equipment, machines, and weights regularly
- Maintain cleanliness of changing rooms, showers, toilets, and wash room facilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors throughout the gym
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish safely
- Replenish cleaning supplies, toiletries, and paper products as required
- Clean reception areas, offices, studios, and communal spaces
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or health and safety concerns to management
- Follow health and safety regulations and cleaning procedures at all times
- Respond promptly to cleaning needs during gym operating hours
- Assist with deep-cleaning tasks as scheduled
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
- Flexible approach to working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays if required
We have the following shifts available:
6am-2pm
2pm-10pm
8am-4:30pm
6:30am-10:30am
6:30am-12pm
3:30pm-10:30pm
5:30am-2pm
7:30am-8:30am
The leisure centre is open 7 days a week so there is work available Monday - Sunday
The pay rate is £12.71 - £13.50 per hour
Candidates must have an enhanced DBS check dated within the last year
