Hear Our voice - Mental Health youth worker – College Support Hubs
Work Location: 1 x post across Cornwall, mainly Callywith college, some travel to other areas may be required
Hours: Part time 18.5hrs per week
Salary: £29,606 pro rata

Working as part of Young People Cornwall’s Hear Our Voice mental health project we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic worker to provide high quality 1 to 1 and group work support. You will be working with young people in Cornwall aged 16-25yrs, who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health and emotional well-being.
This post is predominately based within Callywith College, and Young People Cornwall’s community based support hub settings. Using a youth work approach, alongside evidence-based early interventions for mental health and wellbeing, the post-holder will provide a flexible, accessible, inclusive and young-person centred service, working collaboratively with young people, parents/carers and multi-agency partners to meet individual needs and support young people to achieve their personal goals and outcomes.
Groups facilitation will use a creative informal education/youth work approach to develop and deliver a programme to young people up to 25yrs, based on emotional resilience and mental health awareness, to provide early support around concerns including – anxiety, low mood, stress, self-harm and risk taking, low self-esteem, communication and relationship difficulties and bullying.
All successful post holders will be required to work to uphold high quality service, and work towards our commissioned targets. This will include working in line with set KPI’s, and providing meaningful and measurable outcomes, record keeping and reporting.
A valid UK driving licence is essential for these posts.
