Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Balustrade Installation Assistant to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the installation of balustrades in various residential and commercial projects. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced tradespeople to ensure precise and safe installation of balustrades, contributing to the overall safety and aesthetic appeal of our clients’ properties. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in construction and fabrication, ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills within the building industry.
Duties
- Assist with the measurement, cutting, and fitting of balustrades according to project specifications and schematics
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Support with the installation of balustrades on-site, ensuring alignment and stability
- Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces, organising materials, and setting up scaffolding or ladders as required
- Assist with reading and interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to safety standards and project deadlines
- Help with related tasks such as masonry, carpentry, plastering, or construction painting as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project phase
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or building trades is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Skills in roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, masonry, or carpentry are highly desirable
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and fabrication techniques is beneficial
- Experience working on-site in residential or commercial projects will be considered an asset
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills within the construction industry is essential
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work safely in a team environment
Pay: £24,420.00-£50,252.60 per year
