Packaging Materials Controller

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Packaging Materials Controller to support the effective planning and supply of packaging materials across multiple sites. This is a key role ensuring materials are available to meet production demand, while maintaining control of costs and driving efficient ways of working across the supply chain.
Job Purpose
Responsible for planning, procurement, and supply of packaging materials across multiple sites, ensuring stock availability and cost control.
Main Duties:
- Develop and manage packaging material requirement plans across sites
- Ensure stock levels are optimised – keeping production moving while reducing waste
- Take ownership of slow-moving and obsolete stock, driving improvements
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data to support effective planning and decision-making
- Coordinate supply across multiple locations, balancing stock and minimising risk
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring performance and KPIs
- Identify and support cost-saving opportunities through smarter packaging solutions
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience within planning, supply chain, or a similar role
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Confident communicator with good coordination skills
- Flexible and willing to travel or support wider business needs when required
