Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Self Employed Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers flexibility and independence, ideal for experienced drivers looking to operate as a self-employed professional. The position involves handling various delivery tasks, maintaining excellent communication with clients, and ensuring timely parcel drop-offs.
Duties
- Collect parcels from designated warehouses or collection points and verify delivery details.
- Safely operate vehicle adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload parcels, including heavy lifting when necessary, using appropriate equipment or techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules or issues that may arise during transit.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during deliveries.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car, van)
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with clients and team members.
- Organised approach to planning routes and managing delivery schedules.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
