Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across various industrial sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in working within a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth operation of industrial facilities. Prior experience with hand tools, power tools, or construction is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise industrial equipment, workspaces, and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform cleaning tasks and minor maintenance activities
- Assist with the removal of debris, waste materials, and hazardous substances from site areas
- Support construction or renovation projects by preparing surfaces and assisting with light assembly tasks using hand and power tools
- Follow safety procedures diligently during all cleaning and maintenance activities
- Maintain organised storage of cleaning supplies and tools for efficient workflow
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or a related field is desirable but not mandatory; full training will be provided
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools is beneficial
- Construction experience or background in trades such as carpentry or general maintenance is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety
Pay: £13.20 per hour
