Position: Performance Analyst (Interim)
Location: Millmead House, Guildford, GU2 4BB
Start Date: ASAP (7 September 2026)
Contract Duration: Until 31 March 2027, with the possibility of extension
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday; hybrid working with 2 days in the office
Pay Rate: £380 per day
Job Responsibilities:
You will:
- Create and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for service managers, senior leaders, committees and regulators
- Analyse housing performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and areas requiring improvement
- Monitor and develop KPIs across Housing Services
- Ensure performance data is accurate, consistent and reliable
- Support the preparation of Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) and other regulatory submissions
- Contribute to the development of data warehouses, reporting systems and business intelligence solutions
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve access to performance information
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support service teams in interpreting performance data
- Present clear, meaningful insights to support evidence-based decision-making and service improvement
Requirements:
Must-Have Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Public Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong experience using Power BI for reporting and data visualisation
- Experience working with databases, Excel and business intelligence systems
- Good understanding of performance management frameworks and KPI development
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain complex information clearly to non-technical audiences
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- Experience working in local government, housing or the wider public sector
- Knowledge of housing performance measures, Tenant Satisfaction Measures and regulatory requirements
- Understanding of social housing legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Experience using housing management systems
- Knowledge of data quality, governance and assurance principles
- Experience working with data warehouses
- Strong Power BI development experience
