Responsibilities
- Perform commercial cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, and common areas with attention to detail.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and cleaning materials to ensure availability at all times.
- Follow established health and safety protocols during all cleaning activities to promote a safe environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages discovered during cleaning to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Use janitorial equipment efficiently and safely, including vacuums, buffers, and cleaning solutions.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as scheduled or required.
- Ensuring hotel rooms and public areas are cleaned and checked to the high standards require
- Control costs through correct usage, stock rotation and minimising wastage
- Ensure company Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH legislations are adhered to
- Carry out daily and weekly routines together with any special cleaning duties directed by the Head Housekeeper
- Report all maintenance issues immediately following the correct procedure
- Assist on Laundry
- Public area clear
Skills Required
A successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills, a good eye for detail.
- Flexibility (weekend and bank holidays included)
- Good time keeping.
- Problem solving
Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Starting time
Monday- Sunday 7:45am/ 8:30am start.
Includes Weekends 7:45am/8:30am
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
