C.E.L Group (1989) Ltd are a family-run principal contractor specialising in heritage restoration, conservation and refurbishment projects throughout the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Traditional Decorator to join our team. Applications are welcomed from both individuals seeking permanent employment and experienced self-employed labour-only subcontractors.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects including listed buildings, churches, historic estates, public buildings, commercial properties and high-quality refurbishment schemes. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their workmanship and can consistently deliver a high standard of finish.
Typical Duties:
- Internal and external painting and decorating.
- Surface preparation including filling, sanding, stripping and making good.
- Application of traditional and modern paint systems.
- Heritage and listed building decorating works.
- Timber preparation and finishing.
- Re-decoration and refurbishment projects.
- Assisting with general site duties where required.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator.
- Ability to produce high-quality finishes with excellent attention to detail.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- CSCS Card preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, professional and customer focused.
- Experience working on heritage or listed buildings would be advantageous but is not essential.
