Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse/Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Duties
- Assist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering any questions they may have
- Record patient information accurately using IT systems and maintain detailed dental records
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient correspondence
- Uphold infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff
- Communicate effectively with patients, offering reassurance and explaining procedures clearly
- Organise clinic supplies to ensure all necessary materials are readily available for daily operations
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management
- Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining a professional attitude
- GDC registered
- Temporary post for 9 months - may lead to candiate wishing to proceed further and explore possibility of a dental nurse qualification
