We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist with specific hands-on experience operating MAZAK machinery to join our team.
This is a precision-focused role where attention to detail is essential. The successful candidate will be confident working to tight tolerances, accurately measuring components and carrying out thorough in-process and final inspections to ensure all work meets the required specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate MAZAK CNC machinery to produce precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Work accurately to tight dimensional tolerances.
- Carry out accurate measurements using appropriate inspection and measuring equipment.
- Complete first-off, in-process and final inspections.
- Identify any dimensional or quality issues and make appropriate adjustments.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail throughout production.
- Monitor component quality and ensure products meet customer and company specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Work effectively as part of a skilled engineering team while also being capable of working independently.
Essential Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience operating MAZAK CNC machinery – essential.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Experience measuring precision components accurately.
- Confident using inspection and measuring equipment.
- Excellent eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Ability to identify defects, dimensional issues and deviations from specification.
- Good understanding of CNC machining processes.
- Reliable, organised and able to work to production deadlines.
Working Hours
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm
- 37.5 hours per week
Overtime will be available at time and half
