Job Description
As a Line Leader you will be responsible for managing the total operation of the line (defined as total production line) on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis through the continuous shift operation to maximize production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters. A particular emphasis of the role is to facilitate a team culture across all functional and cross functional disciplines for the specific line.
The Line Leader will:

Serve as a customer liaison and ensure customer quality requirements are met

Analyze production data and identify opportunities for increased productivity and quality

Drive to key performance goals for production lines

Work with various departments on short term and long term projects
The Line Leader should have:

Proven ability to coach, mentor, energize, and engage hourly and salary team members

A desire to be on the production floor

Strong desire and drive to learn new systems and processes

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Significant understanding of Flow Manufacturing concepts that use Continuous Improvement and Kaizen events.

Proficient with MS Office, including experience using Excel for data analysis
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred

At least 5 years of experience supervising/leading people and processes in a manufacturing production environment

Previous experience in the glass container industry is preferred

Availability to support 24/7 operations

Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to motivate teams

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics

Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

Knowledge of quality control processes and safety regulations in manufacturing

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analysis

Experience with production planning and scheduling software is a plus
