Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant on Nights to provide support to our elderly residents. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living tasks and ensuring the overall well-being of our residents. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and a passion for working with seniors.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with medication management, including administering medication and monitoring side effects
- Help with daily living tasks, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Assist with mobility and ambulation, including escorting residents to and from appointments and activities
- Assist with incontinence care and manage incontinence products
- Monitor and report any changes in a resident's condition to the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including performing housekeeping tasks and reporting any safety concerns
- Build relationships with residents and their families, providing emotional support and companionship
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans
Skills
- Experience working with seniors and providing personal care
- Ability to lift and transfer residents safely
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Knowledge of medication management and administration
- Basic understanding of nutrition and meal preparation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR guidelines
- N/SVQ Level 3 in Heath & Social Care
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends
Pay: £14.25 per hour
