The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing installations from start to finish, leading a team consisting of an apprentice and a junior joiner while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll still be on the tools while taking ownership of each project.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a small installation team on site.
- Carry out high-quality first and second fix joinery.
- Read and work from technical drawings.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to an exceptional standard.
- Train and develop apprentices and less experienced team members.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised site.
- Communicate professionally with customers throughout the build.
- Identify and solve problems independently.
- Ensure company vehicles, tools and equipment are looked after.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years’ joinery/carpentry experience.
- Experience leading or supervising a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work away from home occasionally when required.
- Pride in producing outstanding workmanship.
Desirable:
- Experience building garden rooms, timber frame structures or extensions.
- Experience installing composite cladding, doors, windows and roofing systems.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (not essential).
- First Aid qualification.
