ABOUT THE ROLE:
Are you an experienced motor claims professional looking to develop your technical claims career? We are seeking a Technical Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of complex motor claims, ensuring the best possible outcomes. The successful candidate will have experience handling liability disputes, negotiating with Third Party Insurers (TPIs), managing recoveries, and proactively progressing claims to achieve timely and commercially beneficial resolutions.
You will play a key role in protecting our clients' interests by applying technical knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and excellent judgement throughout the lifecycle of each claim.
ABOUT YOU:
This role will involve managing technically challenging motor claims while delivering exceptional customer service and achieving the best commercial outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Conducting proactive claims handling to ensure claims progress efficiently and are resolved at the earliest opportunity.
· Investigating liability and reviewing evidence to make accurate liability decisions.
· Negotiating liability, and settlement with Third Party Insurers (TPIs).
· Managing recovery opportunities and pursuing uninsured loss and outlay recoveries where appropriate.
· Understanding and applying the claims recovery process to maximise successful recoveries.
· Liaising with solicitors, insurers, brokers, repairers, engineers, and other stakeholders to progress claims.
· Maintaining accurate claim records and ensuring compliance with company procedures and FCA requirements.
· Delivering excellent customer service through regular communication and expectation management.
· Contributing positively within a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Previous experience within a motor claims handling environment
· Experience negotiating liability and settlements with Third Party Insurers (TPIs).
· Strong understanding of liability principles and motor claims procedures.
· Experience managing recoveries and understanding recovery processes.
· Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage a busy caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
· Commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer outcomes and business objectives.
· Experience within credit hire, credit repair, or claims management would be advantageous.
