Associate Consultant

Role Purpose
The Associate Consultant is a role within Lomartons Transformation Consulting function, supporting the delivery of HR and Payroll transformation projects across a range of client engagements.
This role contributes to project delivery by completing defined work packages and structured tasks under the guidance of Consultants and Senior Consultants. The Associate Consultant is expected to develop into a fully capable delivery consultant, building practical experience in HR systems, transformation methodologies and client-facing project work.
The role balances hands-on delivery responsibility with structured development, gaining exposure to end-to-end transformation lifecycles while progressively increasing autonomy and complexity of work over time.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery Support
- Support the delivery of defined tasks across HR and Payroll transformation projects.
- Assist with project activities including documentation, analysis and preparation of deliverables.
- Complete assigned work in line with direction from senior team members.
- Provide updates on progress of tasks and escalate issues where required.
- Support the smooth running of project activities through reliable execution of instructions.
HR & Payroll Transformation Support
- Assist with data preparation, cleansing and validation activities.
- Support requirements gathering sessions by capturing notes and documenting outputs.
- Contribute to testing activities including script execution and issue logging.
- Assist in the preparation of training materials, guides and project documentation.
- Support system implementation activities under supervision.
Stakeholder & Workshop Support
- Attend client meetings and workshops as part of the project team.
- Take accurate notes and document actions, decisions and requirements.
- Support coordination of meeting logistics where required.
- Communicate professionally with internal team members and client stakeholders as directed.
Delivery Quality & Learning
- Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all assigned tasks.
- Follow established methodologies, templates and guidance.
- Escalate risks, issues or uncertainties promptly to senior team members.
- Actively participate in feedback and learning opportunities.
- Develop understanding of HR processes, systems and transformation delivery.
Team Contribution & Development
- Work collaboratively as part of project teams.
- Support Consultants and Senior Consultants in delivery activities.
- Engage in structured learning and development to build consulting capability.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability and a willingness to learn.
Performance Measures
- Task Completion: Delivery of assigned tasks to expected quality and timelines.
- Accuracy: High attention to detail and minimal errors in outputs.
