Job Description
Envision Education is currently recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a brand-new, purpose-built all-through specialist school in Hillingdon, West London. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm. We have immediate and September 2026 starts available, with trial days taking place now to secure your position.

Responsibilities

Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, and whole classes under the direction of the class teacher.

Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), adapting learning to meet individual needs.

Monitor, assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and achievement.

Promote positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.

Prepare classroom resources and maintain an organised and stimulating learning environment.

Support the planning and delivery of lessons across the primary curriculum.

Deliver interventions and targeted support programmes.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, parents, and other professionals to support pupil development.

Provide guidance and mentoring to Teaching Assistants where appropriate.

Follow safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
Requirements

HLTA qualification or significant experience working at HLTA level.

A minimum of 6 months' UK experience working within a primary school or specialist educational setting.

Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.

Experience supporting children with SEND.

Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
