As our business continues to grow, we are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Site Technician to join our expanding technical team, based from our Head Office in Dunmurry.
Role Overview:
As a Technical Site Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our waterproofing systems are installed to the highest standards. Working closely with contractors, clients, architects and our internal technical and sales teams, you will provide on-site inspections, technical advice and quality assurance to support successful project delivery.
The role will involve regular travel throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and, where required, the wider UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out site inspections during all stages of flat roof waterproofing installations.
- Assess workmanship and ensure compliance with Strata Waterproofing installation standards and specifications.
- Produce detailed site inspection reports, including photographs and recommendations.
- Provide practical technical guidance and support to roofing contractors on site.
- Assist with resolving installation challenges and recommending appropriate technical solutions.
- Conduct final inspections for warranty approval.
- Deliver practical product demonstrations and contractor training.
- Maintain strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, architects and clients.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
- Represent Strata Waterproofing professionally on all site visits.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience within the roofing or waterproofing industry.
- A recognised NVQ qualification in Roofing or a related discipline.
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification.
- A full UK driving licence.
- The ability and willingness to work safely at height.
- Excellent knowledge of flat roofing systems and installation methods.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital reporting systems.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with manufacturer-approved roofing systems.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and warranty inspection processes.
- Experience delivering practical contractor training.
- Ability to read technical drawings and construction specifications.
- A customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
