Role Overview: Frixos Metalworks Ltd is a family-owned business that has been thriving since 1978. We operate a busy manufacturing plant dedicated to supplying high-quality structural and architectural metalwork items to a diverse range of clients.
Our well established and expanding Company is seeking a Tekla Technical Manager and/or Senior Technician/Draughtsman to join our dedicated drawing office team. In this role, you will oversee technical operations and ensure the successful execution of projects, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional metalwork solutions.
Reporting to the Head of Drawing Department, you will receive support in your professional development as you demonstrate your technical ability and skills. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and contract managers to ensure the successful completion of projects. Your expertise will be crucial in transforming design concepts into practical and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage technical projects from conception through to completion.
· Work closely with contract managers, architects and engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements.
· Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients as needed.
· Participate in regular team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and progress.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Review and check drawings for accuracy and completeness.
· Maintain project documentation and files.
· Provide support and technical guidance to junior draughtsmen as needed.
Requirements:
· 7+ years of experience as a Tekla Draughtsman or similar role.
· Strong proficiency in Tekla and related design tools to allow accurate inspection of drawings.
· Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
· Ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
· Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
· Coordination of IFC models with design team and Directors
· Excellent attention to detail, accurate preparation of information and communication of them to the draughtsmen.
· Reviewing drawings prepared by the draughtsmen and prepare instructions for revised drawings as to comments received from any relevant party.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to communicate to all levels.
· Strong analytical ability and a proactive approach
· Able to interact with other team members and external project teams in order to jointly address design issues.
· Excellent time management skills to enable completion of tasks in a timely way
· Dedicated with a strong work ethic.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Flexibility to work overtime when required.

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
