Polisher / Smart Repair Technician
Location: Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 (40 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour
Contract: Full-Time - Temp to Perm / Permanent Opportunities Available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Polisher / Smart Repair Technician to join a busy automotive bodyshop operation in Upper Heyford. This is a varied role combining polishing and cosmetic smart repair work within a modern workshop environment.
The successful candidate will have strong polishing experience alongside the ability to carry out a range of cosmetic and interior repairs to a high standard. This opportunity offers long-term prospects, with both Temp to Perm and Permanent opportunities available.
The Role:
As a Polisher / Smart Repair Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Polishing newly painted panels to remove imperfections and achieve a factory-quality finish
- Removing scratches and correcting minor paint defects
- Carrying out cosmetic smart repairs across a range of vehicles
- Completing plastic, trim, and interior repairs
- Carrying out windscreen and leather repairs where required
- Ensuring all job cards and repair documentation are completed accurately
- Working to company quality standards and workshop procedures
- Managing workload effectively to support workshop efficiency
- Supporting and assisting junior technicians where required
The Person:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Polisher, Smart Repair Technician, or similar role
- Strong polishing skills are essential
- Experience carrying out cosmetic and interior vehicle repairs
- Good attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable with strong time management skills
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
