As we expand our offering into the evening we are looking for Chefs to join our team; we can consider both full and part time positions with varied hours.
We are looking for a warm and hardworking individual to work alongside our small team.
Situated in our beautiful Manchester city centre site is a 30-40 cover open plan kitchen/deli.
This role would suit an experienced chef who wants to work more sociable hours varied between 7am-10pm. We want to maintain a happy team who are not doing ridiculously long shifts able to come to work refreshed each day. We are open Wednesday - Sunday allowing the whole team to have a proper reset every week. The evening offering will start with Friday & Saturday nights and we will expand days as we grow our customer base further. We host lots of events and will be doing supper clubs with live music also.
Working in a small team, the focus will be on creativity using fresh local produce with the opportunity to work with independent local growers and suppliers. We currently offer delicious Brunch & lunch with a small and well thought out menu. We need the same process and effort applying to our new evening offering.
We currently serve a small but delicious breakfast menu along with an open counter, deli style offering for T/A and seated dining, from breakfast through to lunch. We want to up the volume of takeaway/delivery service and add Fri & Saturday evenings.
With very committed daytime chefs, already succeeding within our restaurant, we need kind and reliable people to grow their passions together from the daytime menu through to the evening offering. As part of the team driving the new evening offering, you will be taking care of essentials such as H&S, Ordering, monitoring GP and menu development. This person must be highly organised, reliable and open minded.
Over the next 12 months we are going to grow our event bookings as well as opening up more collaborations with other chefs to host supper clubs . A great chance to have variety and fun with your work, exploring creative flare and a chance to do additional hours if you desire.

Responsibilities include;
- Seasonal menu development
- Continue to hold/grow good relationships with local growers/suppliers.
- Take charge of food preparation and cooking processes to ensure the highest quality, vibrant food is served at all times.
- Maintain food safety standards and hygiene practices, including holding relevant Food Hygiene Certificates, level 3 and preferably trained on digital system (training given if not). Deep clean every night.
- Help maintain a happy team; creating a respectful and welcoming environment, providing guidance and support in order to foster a collaborative relationship with other chefs and FOH.
- Thoroughly manage inventory and food production to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Ensure exceptional hospitality and service standards are upheld in the kitchen at all times.
- Daily diligent cleaning to ensure a spotless kitchen.
- 24-45 hours per week, happy to consider several kitchen formats.
- Exceptional cooking skills
- Good pastry skills is a bonus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
