Health and Safety Coordinator
Location: South East England (Covering, London, Kent, Surry, & Sussex) - Field Based
Salary: £43,177.30 Per Annum
Contract: Permanent | Full Time| 39 hours per week | Hybrid ( 4 days on site/sites & 1 day from home)
We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team, supporting operational sites across the region in driving a positive health and safety culture.

As the Facilities Maintenance Team, we keep our sites running like a self-contained city – it takes hundreds of people, systems, and processes to function safely, and health and safety sits at the heart of everything we do. Every decision we make impacts every employee, prisoner, visitor, and the wider community they return to.
As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you will work alongside the Regional Health and Safety Manager and a wide range of operational teams, from site managers to trade specialists, all committed to promoting a "one team approach" to keeping our people safe.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator with a combination of:
- NEBOSH Certificate
- Methodical, organised approach with excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels
- Computer literacy
- Full UK Driving Licence
- TFM industry experience (desirable)
Minimum 2 years of experience

Future Plans .
GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM Services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
