Junior Sales and Design Coordinator: Join Our Team
The Bike Shed Company — Bristol, BS3
£28,000 per annum + £200/month performance bonus (paid in each of the last 5 months)
About Us
The Bike Shed Company designs and builds beautiful, made-to-measure outdoor storage — crafted in Britain, built to last, and chosen by customers who want the best. Our Trustpilot reviews are all 5★, and our customers consistently tell us it’s the quality of our service that sets us apart.
We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Junior Sales & Design Coordinator to join our small, close-knit team in Bristol. This is a role for someone who’s creative and design-minded, enjoys working with customers, and wants to build a career in a company that genuinely takes pride in what it does.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll sit at the heart of our sales process — turning customer enquiries into beautiful proposal drawings and guiding people through the purchase journey with warmth and confidence. Day to day that means:
- Strong written and spoken English — clear, confident, professional communication is non-negotiable for this role. Writing friendly, clear, properly punctuated emails is second nature for you. Speaking comfortably and clearly on the phone is essential.
- Organised, with the ability to manage a live pipeline of opportunities consistently, without things slipping through the cracks.
- Comfortable and confident on video and on the phone; you'll be conducting client consultations remotely.
- A good eye for design, evidenced by something you've made or produced — this doesn't have to be professional design work, but you really do need to have a sense of how to make things look great. And you need to be able to prove it to us.
- Some real sales experience — you’ll be comfortable presenting the commercial details of a proposal and moving a conversation toward a close.
- A gregarious, outgoing personality; we need someone who is naturally comfortable engaging with customers and can present with confidence and warmth.
There are also a few desirable extras — nice to have, but not a barrier to applying:
- Ideally, you’ll have used SketchUp or similar 2D/3D design software (in any case we'll train you).
- Experience with a CRM system and sales administration.
- General aptitude for digital tools — you'll be using a CRM system, Microsoft 365, and video conferencing platforms.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, based at our office in Bristol BS3.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis — we're keen to hear from strong candidates early, so don't wait for a closing date to apply. If you apply when the ad is open, we’ll review it properly. But we might take the ad down at any time without notice so don't hang around!
If you take pride in doing things properly, enjoy working with customers, and like the idea of joining a small company that's genuinely good at what it does, we’d love to hear from you.
