Opportunity for a qualified Accountant to join a well-established international group in this newly created role. You will be supporting statutory reporting, financial audit delivery and UK/international tax compliance. Ideal for someone with strong IFRS knowledge, accounts production experience and a keen interest in technical accounting and tax. Hybrid working and excellent development opportunities available.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of Group consolidated financial statements and UK statutory accounts
- Coordinate year-end audit activities, liaising with external auditors and managing audit deliverables
- Assist overseas finance teams with local statutory reporting and compliance requirements
- Support UK and international tax compliance, including corporation tax, tax reporting and cash tax management
- Maintain tax governance processes, compliance tracking and transfer pricing documentation
- Provide technical accounting support, monitor regulatory developments and contribute to ad hoc statutory reporting projects across the Group
Applicants to this role require:
- ACA/ICAS/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
- Experience of Financial Audits, Accounts Production and UK tax compliance
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards and awareness of emerging developments and future changes
- Proficient in Excel & Word
- A technically minded qualified Accountant
- Strong organisational skills with ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines
- Highly numerate and literate with strong analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate across an international business
- Experience with Accounts Production Software is preferred
- Preparation of UK tax computations or related tax experience would be desirable
