AF Protection Ltd, a specialist passive fire protection contractor, is looking for an organised and proactive Office Assistant to join our team.
This is a varied role providing administrative and operational support across the business. You will work closely with and report directly to the Office Manager.
Key duties will include:
- Managing incoming calls
- Ordering materials and equipment hire for site teams.
- Fleet administration, including vehicle check collation, MOT and service reminders.
- Maintaining training records and booking training courses.
- General office and email administration.
- Maintaining asset and equipment records.
- Basic finance administration using Excel, including expenses and credit card records.
- Setting up and maintaining company tablets and internal system records.
- Setting up and tracking tender enquiries.
- Following up selected submitted tenders and overdue invoices.
- Keeping social media and website information up to date.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous office or administration experience.
- Is highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Is confident using Microsoft Excel and Outlook and has good general IT skills.
- Is proactive and comfortable following up outstanding actions.
- Can manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
- Has good telephone and written communication skills.
Previous experience within the construction industry would be beneficial but is not essential, and training will be provided on our internal systems.
This is an office-based position working approximately 25 hours, with some flexibility around start and finish times. Additional hours might be possible with growth or role.
Due to our office location and limited nearby public transport, applicants will need to ensure they have reliable transport to and from work.
