Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Labourers to join our team on a soft strip and demolition of a building in the city. You will be involved in a variety of demolition and construction-related tasks, including general strip‑out work, assisting trades, loading waste, site clearing, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Removal of site waste - plasterboard/wood/demo waste
- Loading of skips and waste lorries
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely and effectively
- Supporting construction activities by handling materials and assisting tradespeople as needed
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times
- Conducting routine inspections of equipment and reporting any faults or issues
Experience
- Prior labouring experience in construction, any demolition experience advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and demolition / construction equipment
- Basic understanding of demolition principles is beneficial
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential
- Valid relevant CSCS and or CCDO qualifications or certifications related to construction, UKATA asbestos awareness cert advantageous
This role provides valuable practical experience in demolition, construction processes, and equipment handling.
Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
