We print and personalise a wide range of gifts - mugs, t-shirts, keyrings, photo gifts and more - and pride ourselves on getting orders out quickly and exactly right. As a Print Production Operative, you will make our products, quality-check them, and pack them for dispatch. This is a busy, high-volume environment: orders need to move through quickly, and they need to be right first time, because every item is personalised and there is no margin for error on a customer's design, or on a name or photo. This role will suit someone who can keep up a brisk, productive pace without letting standards slip, and who takes genuine satisfaction in precise, hands-on work.
What you'll do
- Operate our printing equipment to produce personalised products (full training provided - no experience necessary)
- Quality-check every item before dispatch: correct print, correct personalisation, no defects
- Pack orders so they arrive safely and look professional
- Work efficiently to meet daily order volumes and dispatch deadlines
- Keep the production area clean, organised and well-stocked
- Occasional holiday & sickness cover for customer service team
What we're looking for
- A sharp eye for detail - you notice the wrong character, the off-centre print, the smudge others would miss
- The ability to work quickly and maintain momentum throughout the day, without sacrificing accuracy
- Reliability - you are punctual and your team can depend on you
- Confidence with computers and a willingness to learn to use specialist machinery
- A calm, focused approach when volumes are high and deadlines are tight
Hours
Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with weekends free for most of the year. Occasionally we ask the team to stay a little later in the evening, though this is uncommon. Our one busy period is November–December, when we ask for additional hours and some weekend work to meet Christmas demand. We would rather be upfront about this so you can decide whether it suits you.
