We are seeking an experienced, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Wigmore Vets on a full-time basis.
Wigmore Vets is located in the lovely residential area of Wigmore, Rainham, Kent. We are a well-established practice with a large, loyal client base and a busy caseload that provides plenty of variety every day.

You'll be joining an experienced team of 2 Veterinary Surgeons, 11 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Kennel Assistant and 5 Receptionists. Many of our colleagues have been with us for 15 to 20 years, creating a close-knit, family-feel team where knowledge, collaboration and support are at the heart of everything we do.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Working Pattern
- 4 days per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 6:30pm
- 2 in 4 Saturday mornings, working 8:30am-12:00pm
General Responsibilities
- Assisting with surgery and anaesthesia
- Ultrasound and diagnostic imaging
- Triage, including working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon, managing emergency calls, client follow-up, medication queries and communicating blood results
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement
This role would particularly suit an experienced nurse who is keen to further develop their consulting skills with the support of our experienced and knowledgeable team.
