Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Night Security Watchman to oversee the safety and security of our premises during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing unauthorised access, and ensuring a secure environment throughout the night. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the safety of our organisation while working during night-time hours. Shifts are 6pm-6am on a shared rota with a colleague. There may also be opportunities to increase hours by supporting our event security team.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify any security breaches or hazards.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to observe activity and detect suspicious behaviour.
- Maintain detailed logs of all security activities, incidents, and observations during shift.
- Control access points by verifying authorised personnel and visitors.
- Respond appropriately to any incidents or concerns
- Report any security concerns or incidents to management
- Assist with emergency procedures and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
- SIA Door supervisor licence (minimum)
- CCTV licence desirable (training can be provided if required)
- Strong observational skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Excellent organisational skills and punctuality.
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
- Honest, dependable, and able to work independently
