Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner/Housekeeping professional to join the Grand Host team. In this vital role, you will ensure that guest rooms, communal areas, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas according to established standards
- Change bed linens, replenish supplies, and ensure all amenities are stocked and presentable
- Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, dust surfaces, and sanitise high-touch areas regularly
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to maintain a safe environment
- Assist with laundry duties as needed, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding linens; and taking guest laundry to our laundry partner for processing
- Support team members during busy periods by helping with additional cleaning tasks or special requests
- Support our Guest Services team by setting-up properties to help guests celebrate special occasions
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout shifts
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and safety protocols is advantageous
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed
- Ability to drive is advantageous but not necessary as we have multiple sites within central Manchester
