DegreeSix Recruitment is a specialist education agency working with primary and secondary schools in Northampton and surrounding areas. We’re currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a variety of temporary, day-to-day, and long-term roles.
These roles are ideal for those looking to gain further experience in SEN education, work flexible hours, or take their next step toward a long-term or permanent position.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN - Essential
- Experience working in schools or similar settings
- A patient, flexible, and resilient attitude
- A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Relevant training or qualifications (desirable but not essential)
As an SEN TA through DegreeSix, you’ll be expected to:
- Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Provide 1:1 or small group support, tailored to individual student needs
- Help manage behaviour and encourage positive social interaction
- Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
