About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Children’s Support Worker to join our residential children’s service in Nuneaton. This role is ideal for someone who already holds a relevant qualification and has experience supporting children and young people with complex needs within a residential setting.
You will play a key role in providing safe, consistent, and high-quality care, helping children feel supported, understood, and empowered.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, child-centred care in a residential environment
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people
- Support emotional wellbeing, daily routines, education, and activities
- Manage behaviour using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
- Act as a positive role model and maintain professional boundaries
- Complete accurate daily records, care notes, and reports
- Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and key work sessions
- Work in line with safeguarding procedures and Ofsted regulations
Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent) – essential
- Previous experience working as a Children’s Support Worker (residential care preferred)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and behaviour management
- Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and waking nights
- Calm, resilient, and child-focused approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
