Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. You would be driving a 7.2 tonne with trailer van serving Agricultural and domestic customers. This would be a part time position that could lead to full time.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs
- Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and organisation
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience with <PERSON> driver or commercial driving is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as part of the loading and unloading process
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential
- A proactive attitude towards safety and customer service
