About the Role
Business Support provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Youth Justice Service (YJS), ensuring the effective coordination of meetings, panels and court-related processes. The role demands exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to absorb, retain and accurately manage large volumes of complex and sensitive information from a variety of sources.
Working with highly confidential information, the post holder must demonstrate professionalism, discretion and sound judgement at all times. This is a fast-paced and challenging role that requires the ability to effectively prioritise and manage a diverse workload, often balancing competing demands and tight deadlines, while consistently maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency and customer service.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will help ensure that important information reaches the right professionals at the right time, supporting timely decision-making and interventions that help keep children safe.
What You'll Be Doing

Arrange, organise and support Youth Justice panel meetings, ensuring all relevant documentation is prepared and distributed in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and administer reparation sessions, liaising with staff and partner agencies as required.
- Organise Out of Court Referral Panels, including preparing documents, scheduling and correct recording.
- Prepare documentation for court appearances and accurately record and process court outcomes.
- Produce appointment letters, notifications and other administrative correspondence.
- Manage diaries, appointments and meeting schedules for the service.
- Identify, record and support the resolution of administrative and data recording errors.
- Maintain accurate records and update case management systems in line with organisational procedures.
- Record and interpret arrest documentations.
- Undertake general office administration duties such as telephone queries, postal duties and caretaking duties.
