Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, adhering to quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light snacks.
- Take orders accurately and serve customers in a courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and provide correct change.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold food safety standards.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery.
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Experience in serving customers in a hospitality setting is advantageous.
- Basic food preparation skills for assembling menu items efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks and maintain workflow under pressure.
