Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
We're looking for an experienced and reliable Fitter / Mechanic to join our busy team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge who takes pride in maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles and plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing plant machinery, lorries, vans, and small plant equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Attending breakdowns when required using a company-supplied vehicle.
- Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Working closely with the workshop team to keep equipment operational.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience working as a fitter or mechanic on plant machinery, lorries, vans, and small plant.
- Welding experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Self-employed status is essential.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
